Keturah Orji, competing for the Atlanta Track Club, opened her 2019 season Saturday by winning the triple jump at the Clemson Invitational with 47 feet, 2.50 inches (14.39m).

That mark missed her own indoor American record by almost six inches but it is No. 2 all-time on the U.S. list as well as the second over 47 feet.

Orji, who won the Bowerman Award after a stellar collegiate career at the University of Georgia, now owns the top nine all-time best indoor triple jumps in U.S. history.

Grant Holloway of Florida had a big weekend at Clemson as well. He won the 200 meters in 20.69 seconds and won the 60-meter hurdles in 7.49 seconds -- good for fifth all-time on the indoor collegiate list. (He owns the record with 7.42). He also contributed to a 4x400 relay that clocked 3:04.74.

Texas freshman Jonathan Jones ran 46.21 to win the 400 meters.

Texas senior Alex Rogers punctured the four-minute barrier in the mile, running a lifetime best 3:59.01.

NCAA outdoor champion Denzel Comenentia of Georgia won the shot put with 66-0.50. He also won the weight throw with 76-8.50.

Texas freshman Kynnedy Flannel turned in an impressive sprint double, taking the 60 in 7.26 seconds and the 200 in 22.88. Georgia's Lynna Irby was second in 23.27.

Heptathlete Kendell Williams won the women's 60 hurdles in 8.20 seconds. She was also second in the high jump at 5-10.

Levern Spencer, competing unattached, won the women's high jump with 6-3.25.
